  1. Meet with your subcommittee and formulate a suggestion on how the particular event will go.

  1. Purpose:  The celebration of a milestone anniversary is an opportunity to involve the church family in discovering and sharing God’s faithfulness over the church, families and communities. 

  2. Theme Suggestions (Chose 1 by third meeting): 

    1. Beauty For Ashes - Isaiah 61:3, and provide for those who grieve in Zion -to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.


    2. Press On - Philippians 3:13-14 13 Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

    3. Magnify & Celebrate - Psalm 34:3 Glorify the LORD with me; let us exalt his name together.

    4. Christ Exalted - Phil. 4:13-14, 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. 14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.

    5. Love & Live 4 Jesus.  


  1. Celebration Suggestions (finalize by third meeting)

    1. Devotional for the 90th Anniversary. For the teaching ministries of FBC of Wahiawa produce a 40 day devotional (in the manner of Christ in the mount of temptation) that focuses on the resilience and determination to overcome challenges and rebuild something stronger and more resilient after facing adversity or turmoil, thus Beauty For Ashes (Isaiah 61:3).

    2. August 23rd (Friday) - Banquet

      1. Team:  Heather, Belinda

      2. For the team to interview other churches who recently did their banquet celebrations in time for their anniversaries
